DO YOU OR DO YOU NOT?
Do you or do you not, directly or indirectly, want to be killed or assaulted? Do you or do you not, directly or indirectly, want to kill or assault?
Our world is made up of systems: complex systems, trivial systems, functional systems, dysfunctional systems, systems that make the world a better place, and systems that don’t. All systems are created with an idyllic result in mind, yet very few are able to achieve the result they set out to accomplish. Inefficiencies, malfunctions, corruptions, opinions, and failures all play a heavy hand in the prevention of forward motion and productivity. This piece is an exploration of a form that represents both an abstract way to view a real system, and a concrete way to view an abstract system. It is a middle ground that, in form, exhibits the implausibility of an ever-expanding complex system.
